4 bedrooms = The Wagon Wheel Farm House (Sleeps 9)
2 Bedrooms & Loft = Hadley Point Hideaway (Sleeps 6)
2 Bedrooms = Cottages 1,2,3,4,5,7,8 & 9 (Sleeps 5)
1 Bedroom = Sea Glass Cottage, Meadow View Cottage, and Sea Star Cottage #6 (Sleeps 4-5)

Is there Privacy?

Each cottage is designed with privacy in mind. The cottages are oriented in a way to maximize privacy.

Is there high-speed internet?

Yes! We recently installed fiber optic lines on the campus to ensure high speed reliable internet.

How do I ride the Island Explorer?

Guests can hop on the Island Explorer from the main entrance by flagging down the bus. The bus schedule is posted inside each cottage for easy reference. The Island Explorer starts in June and ends in late October.

Can I drink the water?

Yes! Our water comes from a high-yielding well and tastes excellent. We test the well(s) to ensure they are always safe for our guests to drink.

Where does the wooded walking trail go?

The trail starts by Cottage #8 and is a 10 minute walk through the woods to Bay View Drive. From Bay View Drive guests can walk to Hadley Point Beach (another 10 mins down the road). It takes approximately 20 minutes to walk to the beach. Bay View Drive is a quiet road desirable for locals for walking and running.

What is Hadley Point Beach?

Hadley Point Beach is a town beach that is a 1-minute drive or 15-20 minute walk from the cottages. It has beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Guests can also have a fire below the high-tide line. It is a great beach to search for sea glass, explore tidepools, launch a boat, swim, and just relax.

Does each bedroom have shades?

All bedroom windows have black-out shades to ensure a good night sleep for guests.

Are there quiet hours?

Yes, quiet hours are from 10pm – 8am. We ask that guests be mindful of their noise between these hours to ensure a peaceful experience for all.

Is there Firewood?

Complimentary firewood is provided for the community fire pit. Guests at the Wagon Wheel Farm house and Meadow View have their own fire pits, but are welcome to visit the Community fire pit as well.

Do you provide children’s equipment?

We have a pack-n-play, stroller, and booster seats. If they are not already spoken for guests are welcome to use them. Otherwise, Acadia Baby Gear is a wonderful option and they even deliver the items to you!

Can I cook lobster inside my cottage?

We ask that guests do NOT cook lobster inside as it leaves an everlasting smell. However, we will provide you with an outdoor lobster cooker, large pot and utensils to cook them outside. Just let us know if you want this.

What additional items are offered?

Ice Cream: Guests can purchase Morton's Moo Ice Cream and Novelty items at the office via Venmo or Cash honor system. Morton's Moo ice cream is homemade in Ellsworth, Maine and a real treat on a hot summer day.

Local Suggestions: Guests are welcome to ask the owners or onsite Cottage Host for local recommendations. We truly enjoy helping guests explore the area.

Why is Hadley Point Hideaway Cottage Not on The Site Map?

Hadley Point Hideaway is a private bungalow adjacent to our primary residence, and located adjacent to the Explore Acadia Cottages property. Guests will enter through a different entrance that we provide upon booking. Guests can use the wooded trail to walk between the Cottages and Hadley Point Hideaway.
